The European common currency extended its recent rally against the UK's sterling on Monday in early trading. The euro climbed to a new record high of 0.9006 against the pound by 6:35 am ET, compared to Friday's closing value of 0.8942. As of now, the euro-pound pair is trading at 0.8998.
