The Chinese yuan edged down against the US dollar during early deals on Monday. At 1:55 am ET, the yuan declined to a 6-day low of 6.8555 against the dollar, compared to 6.8455 hit late New York Friday. The Chinese currency is currently trading at 6.8529 against the greenback with 6.859 seen as the next target level.

The People's Bank of China set today's central parity rate for the euro-yuan pair at 8.7287.

China's corporate goods price index or CGPI fell 0.4% year-on-year in November, a report by the People's Bank Of China said today. Compared with October, the index fell 3% in November. On an annual basis, price of industrial products fell 1.4%, while that of mineral products dipped 6.4%.
