The Office for National Statistics is set to release U.K. retail sales for March at 4:30 am ET Thursday.
Ahead of the data, the pound traded mixed against its major counterparts. While the pound rose against the euro, it fell against the rest of major counterparts.
The pound was worth 145.52 against the yen, 0.8646 against the euro, 1.3150 against the franc and 1.3012 against the greenback at 4:25 am ET.
