Nevertheless, they make billions! The most successful of them is Apple. The American technology giant has shown record-breaking results. Overall revenue for the fourth quarter of 2019 amounted to $64 billion. According to Tim Cook, the company's chief executive, such good financial performance was achieved due to the accelerated growth in Apple's service segments. Services generated $12.5 billion, or almost 20 percent of total revenue. The company also noted that the revenue growth had been fuelled by sales of wearables and iPad. At the same time, net income for the quarter was $13.7 billion, down by 4 per cent from $14.1 billion. The company is likely to hit new records driven by new products success. In September 2019, the American company introduced a new generation of iPhones: iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max.
