Biden unveils his agenda for first 100 days of presidency

Curiously enough, the first 100 days of a new presidency have become something of a tradition for how a president will get things done after officially taking the office. Recently, Joe Biden has promised a plethora of changes by presenting his own agenda for the first 100 days as President of the US. His plan looks even more ambitious than one of Trump’s "Make America great again". However, unlike his predecessor, the new president-elect outlined the time frame for his first steps in the office.

Biden has set very crucial and strategic goals for his administration. First and foremost, he has committed to making the right choices for top Cabinet posts. "It is a team that will keep our country and our people safe and secure and it’s a team that reflects the fact that America is back ready to lead the world not retreat from it. Once again sit at the head of the table ready to confront our adversaries and not reject their allies, ready to stand up for our values," he said. "The team meets this moment. They embodied my core beliefs that America is strongest when it works with its allies," he pointed out.

Truth be told, the list of cabinet members is really impressive. Biden wants to see Anthony Blinken as the Secretary of State and Alejandro Mayorkas as the Secretary of Homeland Security. Former Secretary of State John Kerry is likely to become the President's Special Envoy on climate change. The National Security Adviser will be Jake Sullivan and former Deputy National Security Adviser Evril Haynes will be appointed as the Director of National Intelligence.

Mr. Biden mentioned some of Donald Trump’s directives that in his opinion should be repealed.  "I will also be moving to do away with some of them, I think, very damaging executive orders that have significantly impacted on making the climate worse and making us less healthy, from methane to a whole range of things the president has done," he said.
