Konami Holdings Corp. shares scaled to their highest level since July after the game developer announced the download hits on its smartphone soccer title reached over 4 million just two weeks into its debut.
The Japanese firm's shares added as much as 4.8% to 4, 485 yen in Tokyo trading, its highest intraday price in almost five months. Its free-to-play title game, Konami's Jikkyou Powerful Soccer, was launched on the Android and the iOS platform on December 7. It was the top-downloaded game on Apple Inc.'s devices in Japan for a week after its debut, market research agency Annie said.
