The U.S. Federal Reserve will release industrial production figures for November at 9:15 am ET. Economists expect industrial production to decline to 0.8% on month in November, compared to a 1.3 percent gain in the previous month. At the same time, the capacity utilization is expected to decline to 75.6% in November from 76.4% in October.
The greenback, which has been trading lower since Monday's early trading, was quoted at 1.1669 against the Swiss franc, 1.5148 versus the pound and 1.3569 against the euro by 9:10 am ET.
