Following the release of Canada's inflation report for July at 7:00 am ET, the Canadian dollar edged slightly higher against its major counterparts. As of 7:03 am ET, the loonie was trading at 0.99 against the US dollar, 1.4182 versus the euro and 77.30 against the yen.
