The Japanese yen strengthened against other major currencies in the Asian session on Monday.
The yen rose to a 4-day high of 109.03 against the U.S. dollar, from an early low of 109.39.
Against the Swiss franc, the euro and the pound, the yen edged up to 113.97, 129.98 and 140.44 from an early near 4-week low of 114.48, near 3-week low of 130.71 and near 2-week low of 141.18, respectively.
If the yen extends its uptrend, it is likely to find resistance around 107.00 against the greenback, 112.00 against the franc, 128.00 against the euro and 139.00 against the pound.
