Reversing direction, the pound climbed against its major rivals in early European deals on Wednesday.

The pound firmed to 1.3329 against dollar, a level unseen since September 2016.

The pound reversed from an early low of 0.9016 against the euro, rising to 0.8983.

The pound hit near 6-week highs of 1.2793 versus the franc and 146.66 versus the yen, off its early lows of 1.2740 and 146.21, respectively.

The next possible resistance levels for the pound are seen around 1.345 against the greenback, 0.88 against the euro, 148.00 against the yen and 1.285 against the franc.
