South Korea had a current account surplus of $5.72 billion in October, the Bank of Korea said on Tuesday - down from $12.29 billion in September.
The goods account surplus narrowed to $8.60 billion compared to the $9.16 billion surplus for October of last year.
The services account deficit widened to $3.53 billion compared to $1.79 billion in October 2016, owing to deterioration in the travel account.
