Germany's flash PMI survey results are due at 3:30 am ET Wednesday. The composite PMI is expected to fall to 58.5 from 58.9 a month ago.
Ahead of the data, the euro traded mixed against its major rivals. While the euro fell against the franc and the yen, it held steady against the greenback and the pound.
The euro was worth 1.2319 against the greenback, 135.32 against the yen, 1.1741 against the franc and 0.8770 against the pound as of 3:25 am ET.
