At 4.30 am ET Friday, the Office for National Statistics has released UK GDP data. The pound rose against its major counterparts following the data.
The pound was trading at 155.51 against the yen, 1.3319 against the franc, 1.4275 against the greenback and 0.8729 against the euro around 4:33 am ET.
