Following the release of UK consumer and producer prices for January at 4.30 am ET Tuesday, the pound rose against its major rivals.
The pound was trading at 1.3878 against the greenback, 149.39 against the yen, 1.2964 against the franc and 0.8876 against the euro around 4:32 am ET.
