Malaysia's producer prices declined at a faster pace in February, figures from the Department of Statistics showed Friday.
Producer prices fell 3.4 percent year-on-year in February, following January's 1.2 percent decrease. This was the second consecutive fall in prices.
Among the sectors which decreased during this period were agriculture, forestry and fishing, and manufacturing. Meanwhile, the index registered increases for mining, water supply and electricity & gas supply sectors.
On a monthly basis, producer prices slid 1.5 percent, in contrast to a 0.5 percent rise in January.
