Finland's retail sales increased in May from a year ago, preliminary figures from Statistics Finland showed Wednesday.
The retail sales value climbed 5.3 percent year-over-year in May. Similarly, the price adjusted volume of retail sales grew 3.9 percent.
In daily consumer goods trade, sales increased by 5.9 percent and the volume of sales rose by 2.5 percent in May from last year.
The statistical office will publish final sales data on July 12.
