The U.S. Durable Goods Orders for May will be published at 8.30 am ET Wednesday. The consensus is for a decline of 0.6 percent in new orders, compared to 1.7 percent decline last month.
Ahead of the data, the greenback climbed against its major rivals.
The greenback was worth 110.18 against the yen, 0.9927 against the franc, 1.1614 against the euro and 1.3173 against the pound as of 8:25 am ET.
