South Africa's wholesale sales increased in May after falling in the previous two months, preliminary figures from Statistics South Africa showed Thursday.
Wholesale sales rose an unadjusted 0.5 percent year-over-year in May, reversing a 2.6 percent fall in April.
On a monthly basis, wholesale sales climbed a seasonally adjusted 1.1 percent from April, when it dropped by 3.0 percent.
At current prices, wholesale trade grew 5.9 percent annually and by 3.6 percent monthly in May.
