The manufacturing sector in Taiwan continued to expand in July, albeit at a slower pace, the latest survey from Nikkei revealed on Wednesday with a PMI score of 53.1.
That's down from 54.5 in June, although it remains above the boom-or-bust line of 50 that separates expansion from contraction.
Individually, there was a softer rise in output as new business growth slowed.
Input cost inflation remained sharp, while optimism towards the year ahead weakened to a two-year low.
