The U.S. weekly jobless claims for the week ended August 11 and housing starts for July have been released at 8:30 am ET Thursday. Following these data, the greenback fell slightly against its major rivals.
The greenback was trading at 1.1375 against the euro, 1.2706 against the pound, 0.9932 against the franc and 110.73 against the yen around 8:32 am ET.
