Following the release of U.S. jobs data for August at 8:30 am ET Friday, the greenback advanced against its major counterparts.
The greenback was trading at 111.02 against the yen, 0.9675 against the franc, 1.1588 against the euro and 1.2988 against the pound around 8:34 am ET.
