Romania's inflation accelerated in August, figures from the National Institute of Statistics showed Tuesday.
Consumer price inflation rose more-than-expected to 5.1 percent in August from 4.6 percent in July. The expected rate was 4.8 percent.
On a monthly basis, consumer prices gained 0.28 percent in August.
Another report showed that industrial production grew 4 percent year-on-year in July but it fell 3 percent compared to June.
