At 5.00 am ET Wednesday, Eurostat releases euro area industrial output for July. Economists forecast production to rise 1 percent on year after climbing 2.5 percent in June.
Ahead of the data, the euro traded mixed against its major counterparts. While the euro held steady against the yen and the greenback, it fell against the pound. Against the franc, it rose.
The euro was worth 1.1586 against the greenback, 129.16 against the yen, 1.1290 against the franc and 0.8895 against the pound as of 4:55 am ET.
