At 4.00 am ET Friday, Eurozone flash PMI results are due. The composite reading is seen at 54.5 in September, unchanged from August.
Ahead of the data, the euro traded mixed against its major rivals. While the euro retreated against the greenback, the franc and the yen, it rose against the pound.
The euro was worth 1.1776 against the greenback, 132.69 against the yen, 1.1275 against the franc and 0.8912 against the pound as of 3:55 am ET.
