Ireland's factory gate prices decreased for the sixth successive month in August, figures from the Central Statistics Office showed Friday.

The manufacturing industries output price index, excluding VAT, fell 0.9 percent year-over-year in August, following a 0.8 percent drop in July.

The price index for home sales declined 1.4 percent and those for export sales slid by 0.9 percent.

On a monthly basis, factory gate prices dropped for the second straight month by 1.3 percent in August, after a 1.7 percent fall in the prior month.
