At 2.00 am ET Thursday, Germany's GfK consumer confidence data is due. The forward-looking consumer sentiment index is seen unchanged at 10.5 in October.
Ahead of the data, the euro fell against its major rivals.
The euro was worth 131.83 against the yen, 1.1315 against the franc, 1.1706 against the greenback and 0.8913 against the pound as of 1:55 am ET.
