At 8.30 am ET Thursday, U.S. CPI for September and jobless claims for the week ended October 6 are set for release. Ahead of the data, the greenback traded mixed against its major counterparts. While the greenback dropped against the euro and the pound, it held steady against the yen and the franc.
The greenback was worth 112.26 against the yen, 0.9876 against the franc, 1.1571 against the euro and 1.3224 against the pound as of 8:25 am ET.
