Taiwan's retail sales annual growth gained momentum in September after slowing sharply in the previous month, preliminary data from the Ministry of Economic Affairs showed on Tuesday.
Retail sales rose 2.80 percent year-on-year following a revised 0.60 percent growth in August. On a month-on-month basis, retail sales climbed 1.87 percent in September. Wholesale trade sales increased 2.15 percent year-on-year after a 4.05 percent gain. Sales of food and beverage services registered 7.70 percent growth following a 5.17 percent rise in the previous month.
