The U.S. weekly jobless claims for the week ended November 3 are due at 8:30 am ET Thursday. Ahead of the data, the greenback held steady against its major counterparts.
The greenback was worth 86.76 against the yen, 1.1430 against the euro, 1.0026 against the franc and 1.3109 against the pound as of 8:25 am ET.
