At 8:30 am ET Thursday, Canada building permits and house price index for November are scheduled for release. Ahead of these data, the loonie traded mixed against its major opponents. While the loonie dropped against the aussie, it held steady against the rest of major rivals.
The loonie was worth 81.78 against the yen, 0.9505 against the aussie, 1.3226 against the greenback and 1.5253 against the euro at 8:25 am ET.
