At 8:30 am ET Tuesday, U.S. housing starts and building permits for December have been released. After the data, the greenback traded mixed against its major counterparts. While the greenback dropped against the yen, it changed little against the rest of major rivals.
The greenback was trading at 110.81 against the yen, 1.0007 against the franc, 1.3189 against the pound and 1.1363 against the euro around 8:34 am ET.
