The Commerce Department will release U.S. retail sales for January at 8:30 am ET Monday.
Ahead of the data, the greenback traded mixed against its major counterparts. While the greenback fell against the yen and the pound, it held steady against the euro. Against the franc, it climbed.
The greenback was worth 111.10 against the yen, 1.0091 against the franc, 1.3221 against the pound and 1.1242 against the euro as of 8:25 am ET.
