Following the release of U.S. retail sales for January at 8:30 am ET Monday, the greenback rose against its major counterparts.
The greenback was worth 111.17 against the yen, 1.0093 against the franc, 1.3033 against the pound and 1.1245 against the euro around 8:33 am ET.
