At 10:00 am ET Tuesday, U.S. consumer confidence index for March is due. Ahead of the data, the greenback traded mixed against its major counterparts. While the greenback held steady against the pound, it climbed against the rest of major counterparts.
The greenback was worth 110.65 against the yen, 0.9949 against the franc, 1.3224 against the pound and 1.1284 against the euro at 9:55 am ET.
