At 8:30 am ET Friday, the Labor Department will release U.S. jobs data for March.
Ahead of the data, the greenback traded mixed against its major counterparts. While the greenback held steady against the yen and the euro, it rose against the pound and the franc.
The greenback was worth 111.67 against the yen, 1.0002 against the franc, 1.3062 against the pound and 1.1233 against the euro as of 8:25 am ET.
