Canada retail sales for February are scheduled for release at 8:30 am ET Thursday. Ahead of the data, the loonie fell against its major counterparts.
The loonie was worth 83.55 against the yen, 0.9587 against the aussie, 1.3390 against the greenback and 1.5061 against the euro as of 8:25 am ET.
