After the release of Canada trade data and new housing price index for March at 8:30 am ET Thursday, the loonie declined against its major counterparts.
The loonie was trading at 81.39 against the yen, 1.3491 against the greenback, 1.5102 against the euro and 0.9408 against the aussie around 8:32 am ET.
