The Labor Department has released U.S. consumer price index for April at 8:30 am ET Friday. After the data, the greenback edged down against its major counterparts.
The greenback was trading at 109.67 against the yen, 1.0122 against the franc, 1.1232 against the euro and 1.3018 against the pound around 8:33 am ET.
