India's consumer price inflation rose marginally in April, data from the Central Statistics Office showed Monday.
Consumer prices climbed 2.92 percent year-on-year in April, following March's 2.86 percent increase. In the same period last year, inflation was 4.58 percent.
The consumer food price index rose at a faster pace of 1.1 percent after the 0.3 percent increase seen in March.
On a monthly basis, consumer prices moved up 0.5 percent and food prices advanced 1.03 percent in April.
