Bulgaria's consumer price inflation rose to the highest level in six months in April, figures from the National Statistical Institute showed on Wednesday.
The consumer price index rose 3.7 percent year-on-year in April, following a 3.6 percent increase in March.
The latest inflation was the highest since October last year, when it was 3.7 percent.
Prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages grew the most by 5.8 percent annually in April. Restaurants and hotels prices and transport costs rose by 4.8 percent and 3.8 percent, respectively.
On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose 0.5 percent in April, after a 0.1 percent increase in the prior month.
