At 8:30 am ET Thursday, U.S. weekly jobless claims for the week ended August 3 are due. Ahead of the data, the greenback traded mixed against its major rivals. While the greenback fell against the yen, it rose against the rest of major rivals.
The greenback was worth 105.98 against the yen, 0.9757 against the franc, 1.1192 against the euro and 1.2148 against the pound at 8:25 am ET.
