Following the release of ADP private payrolls data for August at 8:15 am ET Thursday, the greenback ticked up against its major counterparts.
The greenback was trading at 106.78 against the yen, 0.9830 against the franc, 1.1055 against the euro and 1.2332 against the pound at 8:20 am ET.
The U.S. weekly jobless claims for the week ended August 31 will be out at 8:30 am ET.
