At 4.30 am ET Wednesday, the Office for National Statistics has released UK consumer and producer prices for August. The pound fell against its major counterparts after the data.
The pound was trading at 134.70 against the yen, 1.2389 against the franc, 0.8876 against the euro and 1.2451 against the greenback around 4:34 am ET.
