South Africa's wholesale sales recovered in July after falling in the previous two months, data from Statistics South Africa showed on Thursday.

Wholesale trade sales at constant prices rose 6.7 percent in July, reversing a 6.4 percent decline in June. In May, sales fell 3.2 percent.

On a monthly basis, wholesale sales grew 9.3 percent in July, after a 1.0 percent fall in the previous month.

In the three months to July, wholesale trade sales rose 0.8 percent, following a 0.6 percent increase in the preceding three months.
