The U.S. consumer price index for September and weekly jobless claims for the week ended October 5 have been released at 8:30 am ET Thursday. After these data, the greenback fell slightly against its major counterparts.
The greenback was trading at 107.45 against the yen, 0.9924 against the franc, 1.2238 against the pound and 1.1029 against the euro around 8:34 am ET.
