The Philippines' jobless rate remained unchanged in January, figures from the Philippine Statistics Authority showed on Thursday.
The unemployment rate was 5.3 percent in January, same as seen in the last year.
The number of unemployed persons increased to 2,390,000 in January from 2,283,000 in the same month last year.
The employment rate remained unchanged at 94.7 percent in January from the same month last year.
The youth unemployment rate fell to 13.6 percent in January from 14.2 percent in the same month last year.
