At 2.00 am ET Tuesday, Destatis is set to issue Germany's import prices for February. Economists forecast prices to fall 1.5 percent on year after easing 0.9 percent in January.
Ahead of the data, the euro held steady against its major counterparts.
The euro was worth 1.1016 against the greenback, 119.26 against the yen, 1.0575 against the franc and 0.8928 against the pound at 1:55 am ET.
