The U.S. advanced GDP data for the first quarter is due at 8:30 am ET Wednesday. Ahead of the data, the greenback advanced against its major counterparts.
The greenback was worth 106.56 against the yen, 0.9746 against the franc, 1.0844 against the euro and 1.2413 against the pound as of 8:25 am ET.
