Denmark's retail sales rose in April after falling in the previous month, amid Covid-19 pandemic, figures from Statistics Denmark showed on Tuesday.
Retail sales rose 0.4 percent month-on-month in April, after a 4.5 percent fall in March. In February, retail sales remained unchanged.
Sales of clothing was largely affected by the Covid-19 measures in April, the agency said.
Sales of clothing and other goods declined 16.6 percent monthly in April and sales of food and other groceries fell 1.9 percent. Meanwhile, sales of other consumables rose 4.3 percent.
On an annual basis, retail sales declined 2.6 percent in April, following a 4.9 percent fall in the prior month.
