Canada retail sales for August, consumer inflation and new housing price index for September are due at 8:30 am ET Wednesday. Ahead of these data, the loonie dropped against its major counterparts.
The loonie was worth 1.5559 against the euro, 79.87 against the yen, 0.9302 against the aussie and 1.3121 against the greenback at 8:25 am ET.
